Morocco and the United Kingdom signed a memorandum of understanding on Monday in Salé aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation in the context of organizing the 2030 World Cup, encompassing areas such as sports, infrastructure, and economic development.
The signing ceremony took place at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, attended by the Minister Delegate in Charge of Budget, Fouzi Lekjaa, and the UK Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth and Development, David Lammy, along with high-level officials from both sides.
This agreement marks a new milestone in the partnership between the two countries, through which the United Kingdom expresses its readiness to leverage its technical expertise and specialized companies to contribute to the success of this global football event.
This cooperation falls within the visionary outlook of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, who regards sports as a means of international outreach and sustainable development.
Both parties agreed to coordinate efforts on major projects related to stadiums, transportation infrastructure, and logistical services, thereby enhancing organizational readiness and creating economic opportunities and lasting partnerships, all while ensuring adherence to universal values of excellence, solidarity, and inclusivity.
