Sidi Hosna Al-Idrisi, the spokesperson for the Council of Elders, confirmed that the children of the Sahara have historically been defenders of territorial unity, noting that their steadfast positions and activism are a continuation of a long journey in defending the Moroccan identity of the Sahara.

Al-Idrisi emphasized that the autonomy initiative launched by Morocco in 2007 represents a realistic solution to the fabricated conflict, gaining increasing international recognition for its seriousness and credibility. He also praised the developmental renaissance underway in the southern provinces, reflecting the special royal attention towards the Sahrawi people.

Participants in the seminar expressed their categorical rejection of any attempt to undermine national unity, affirming that the residents of the Sahara will remain at the forefront of defending Morocco’s sovereignty. They called for intensified diplomatic efforts and enhanced public mobilization to face current challenges.

In conclusion, desert tribal leaders reiterated that the Sahara issue remains one of existence and destiny, expressing their determination to continue the struggle until achieving ultimate victory.
