Weather Forecast for Saturday: Hot Conditions and Expected Thunder Showers Across Several Regions of the Kingdom
The General Directorate of Meteorology has forecasted that on Saturday, the weather will continue to be hot to very hot in several regions of the Kingdom, particularly along the northern and central coasts, the small Atlas, the southeastern region, and within the southern provinces.
Thunderstorm cells accompanied by occasional rain or local showers are expected to form over both the Great and Middle Atlas, as well as in the southern area of the eastern region, with a possibility of extending to the Rif area.
Local fog patches are also anticipated in the morning and evening hours, especially along the Mediterranean coast and in the eastern southern regions. Meanwhile, moderate to relatively strong gusts of wind are expected in the southeastern areas, central and southern regions, as well as in Tangier, the Atlas, and the eastern area, with a chance of dust blowing in some locations.
Regarding nighttime temperatures, they are expected to range between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius in the southeastern region, eastern desert provinces, Souss, and within the northern and central plains. Meanwhile, temperatures will vary between 21 and 26 degrees in the remaining plains, the eastern region, the Rif, the Mediterranean coast, and Tangier, and will drop to between 16 and 23 degrees in other parts of the country.
During the day, an overall noticeable increase in temperatures is forecast, reinforcing the hot weather typical for this time of year.
As for sea conditions, the Mediterranean will be calm to slightly choppy, while the Strait and the Atlantic coasts will experience slight to moderate waves.
