The third edition of the “Women Summit 2025” concluded in Casablanca on June 18 and 19, under the honorary presidency of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Meryem, with the participation of a distinguished group of African and international women leaders.
The summit was organized by the Startup Grow Foundation through its platform Growth Women, under the theme: “A New World, New Challenges for Africa: Women as Drivers of Innovation, Justice, and Sustainability.”
The event served as a prestigious platform for sharing experiences and expertise among women entrepreneurs, government officials, investors, and experts, highlighting the importance of involving African women in digital transformation, green economy, and social entrepreneurship.
Among the key highlights of the summit was the “Ubuntu Awards” ceremony, which honored prominent figures and organizations in the fields of women’s leadership, education, and innovation. The summit also featured presentations of the final projects from the national hackathon aimed at empowering girls, organized across three Moroccan regions, which resulted in innovative solutions in sustainable development.
The program included scientific sessions and roundtable discussions, along with the issuance of the “Casablanca Recommendations” and the preparation of a white paper documenting successful practices in empowering women in Africa.
Hanan Ait Aissa, President of the Startup Grow Foundation, affirmed that the summit “demonstrated that empowering African women is a crucial lever for achieving justice, innovation, and sustainability on the continent.”
