Rabat Crowns Winners of the "Azerbaijan Through the Eyes of Moroccan Children" Contest
Yesterday in Rabat, the winners of the drawing competition "Azerbaijan Through the Eyes of Moroccan Children," organized by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Morocco, were celebrated.
The award ceremony for this competition, held in partnership with the Aglal Riyad District Council, coincided with the 22nd anniversary of Crown Prince Moulay Hassan’s birth, and was attended by notable figures, including the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Morocco, Nazim Samadov, along with personalities from the realms of diplomacy, culture, and media.
In his speech on the occasion, Samadov said, “This celebratory moment brings us together around shared values: peace, creativity, and dialogue between cultures,” pointing out that “we invited Moroccan children to discover Azerbaijan in their own way through art,” after they participated in workshops where they learned about the country through images, music, landscapes, and cultural symbols.
Samadov emphasized that the drawings created by the participating children were “not merely artistic works, but bridges between peoples, messages of friendship and peace.”
For his part, Abdelilah Bouzaidi, President of the Aglal Riyad District Council, highlighted that this competition carries a profound symbolic significance, serving as an occasion for artistic creativity and providing a valuable opportunity for the participating children to discover a beautiful country with a rich history and culture, as well as its diverse heritage.
Bouzaidi noted that the competition allowed participants to open up to new geographies and build bridges of goodwill and human connection with a brotherly nation that shares a deep friendship and cooperation with Morocco.
It is worth mentioning that the “Azerbaijan Through the Eyes of Moroccan Children” competition aims, in particular, to promote creativity and cultural dialogue through art among Moroccan children and to expose them to aspects of Azerbaijani culture.
