Prince Moulay Rachid Participates in the Funeral of the Kingdom’s Historian Abdul Haq Al-Murini

Today, after the afternoon prayer, the funeral of Abdul Haq Al-Murini, the historian of the kingdom and the official spokesperson for the royal court, took place at the Martyrs’ Cemetery in Rabat, attended by Prince Moulay Rachid.

The afternoon and funeral prayers were performed at the Martyrs’ Mosque before the deceased’s body was transported to the cemetery for burial. Family members and relatives of the deceased were present, along with several royal advisors and various civil and military figures. Participants recited verses from the Holy Quran, prayed for the deceased’s mercy and forgiveness, and also prayed for the long life and protection of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, as well as for Crown Prince Moulay Hassan and Prince Moulay Rachid.

The King sent a condolence message to the family of the deceased, expressing his sympathy for the loss of a national scholarly and cultural figure. The message emphasized that Al-Murini made significant contributions through his works, reflecting his vast knowledge and national passion, commending his loyalty to his country and commitment to the nation’s values and the throne.

Abdul Haq Al-Murini passed away yesterday, Monday, in Rabat at the age of 91.
