The Moroccan Kingdom has begun preliminary steps toward bidding to host the Club World Cup in 2029, at a time when global interest in this football event is growing, enhancing its status in the calendar of major international tournaments.
According to the newspaper "Marca," FIFA has officially opened the door for submissions from interested countries to host the next edition of the tournament, but the formal bidding stage has not yet begun. This announcement follows the confirmation of an expanded format for the upcoming tournament.
The same newspaper stated that Spain was the first country to express its desire to host the event, followed by Brazil through an official announcement from its local football federation. In contrast, Morocco has entered the race, starting exploratory steps in preparation to submit its official bid soon.
This initiative is part of a broader sports strategy that aims to enhance Morocco’s position as a prime destination for hosting global sports tournaments, especially after its success in organizing several major sporting events in recent years.
