Positive Economic Growth Predictions for Morocco in 2025 and 2026
Bank Al-Maghrib has indicated that the national economy is poised to achieve a significant acceleration in its growth rate during 2025, reaching up to 4.6%, before stabilizing around 4.4% in 2026. This forecast was revealed following the bank’s second quarterly meeting for 2025.
The central bank projected a growth of 5% in the value added by the agricultural sector in 2025, based on estimates from the Ministry of Agriculture, which indicate a yield of 44 million quintals of cereals. This figure is expected to rise to 50 million quintals by 2026, contributing to a growth rate of 3.2% in the agricultural sector during that year.
Non-agricultural sectors are also expected to trend positively, maintaining a steady growth rate of approximately 4.5% in 2025 and 2026, bolstered by strong investment momentum directed towards infrastructure projects that continue to play a pivotal role in supporting national economic activity.
According to annual national accounts data released by the High Commission for Planning, the national economic growth rate reached 3.8% in 2024, surpassing previous expectations based on quarterly data, which enhances confidence in the Moroccan economy’s ability to sustain its recovery in the coming years.
