The General Directorate of National Security announced on Sunday, June 15, a series of new appointments to key positions within the decentralized National Security services across various cities in the Kingdom. This move aims to inject new blood into security management roles and expand the rotation of responsibilities.

The latest round of appointments involved eight positions in public security and judicial police, notably the appointment of police station chiefs in the Ben Dabab Ain Qadous area of Fez, as well as in the regional areas of Ouezzane and Khénifra. Additionally, a head of the criminal division of the judicial police was appointed in Nador.

The appointments also extended to the traffic and road safety sector, assigning the responsibility for accident investigations in the Tetouan and Sidi Kacem areas, and appointing a head for the traffic brigade in the city of Larache.

In Agadir, a new head of the regional sports security team was appointed as part of the General Directorate of National Security’s preparations to support major sporting events expected to take place in Morocco by reinforcing the sports security system with qualified personnel.

These new appointments come within the framework of an ongoing reform dynamic that targets improving the field performance of the police and establishing efficiency as a fundamental criterion for assuming responsibilities, through the selection of personnel with specialized training and the ability to implement action plans aimed at serving citizens’ security and protecting their property.
