Negative Performance in Casablanca Stock Exchange Opening
Casablanca’s stock exchange commenced trading on Monday with a downturn; its main index, “MAZ”, fell by 0.81% to settle at 17,811.95 points.
The “MASI.20” index, which reflects the performance of 20 listed companies, decreased by 0.9% to 1,455.28 points. Meanwhile, the MASI.ESG index, which tracks companies with the best ratings, recorded a loss of 0.91% to settle at 1,230.54 points.
The “MASI Mid and Small Cap,” tracking the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises listed on the exchange, also saw a drop of 1.04% to 1,711.77 points.
In terms of individual values, the most significant declines were recorded by “Risma” (-5.47% / 311 dirhams), “Auto Hall” (-4.79% / 73.1 dirhams), “Finisar” (-4.02% / 316.1 dirhams), “Maghrebian Cash” (-3.74% / 532.3 dirhams), and “Akdital” (-3.43% / 1,341 dirhams).
Conversely, the strongest gains were noted for “Influx” (+6.91% / 140 dirhams), “Transport” (+0.46% / 32.5 dirhams), “Disway” (+0.38% / 798 dirhams), and “Mining” (+0.37% / 5,218 dirhams).
The MAZ index ended last Friday with a gain of 1.88%.
