Moroccan Women’s National Team Coach Reveals Final Roster for “Morocco 2024” Africa Women’s Cup of Nations

Jorge Vilda, coach of the Moroccan women’s national team, has announced the final list of players who will represent Morocco in the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations “Morocco 2024,” set to kick off on July 5, hosted by the kingdom until the 26th of the same month.

The team will begin its campaign in this tournament with a strong match against Zambia at the new Olympic stadium in Rabat, as part of Group A, which also includes Senegal and the Democratic Republic of Congo. This edition is pivotal for the national women’s football to achieve a commendable presence and continue the remarkable development it has witnessed in recent years.

Here is the list of the Moroccan women’s national team that will compete in “CAN” Morocco 2024:

  • Goalkeepers: Khadija Ramichi, Inas Arousa, Fatima Zahra Jebrawi, and Hind Hassnawi.

  • Defenders: Hanan Ait Haj, Zineb Ridwaani, Sabah Sghir, Aziza Rbah, Naheela Benzina, Sihem Boukhami, Yasmin Merabt, and Soumya Hadi.

  • Midfielders: Ghizlane Chbak, Najat Badri, Ilody Naqqash, Salma Boukrash, Anissa Lahmari, Sara Qasi, Iman Elghzouni, and Sanae Elmasoudi.

  • Forwards: Fatima Tknawt, Soukayna Wazrawi, Rania Boutaibi, Iman Saoud, Ibtissam Jraidi, and Kenza Shabil.

The Moroccan women’s national team, which reached the final in the last edition, is relying on the experience and ambition of its players to achieve positive results, benefiting from the advantages of playing on home soil and in front of local fans, in pursuit of winning their first continental title or at least confirming their position among the elite African teams.
