Rafael Grossi Calls on Iran to Allow Inspection of Enriched Uranium Stockpile

The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, has urged Iran to grant agency inspectors access to nuclear facilities to inspect the stockpile of highly enriched uranium.

During the opening of an emergency meeting at the agency’s headquarters in Vienna, Grossi emphasized the need for inspectors to return to the facilities, particularly to verify the stockpile enriched to 60 percent.

Grossi disclosed that Tehran informed him, via a letter dated June 13, of its implementation of special measures to protect nuclear equipment and materials.
