Dubai’s Al Wasl renews contract with Moroccan international Sofiane Bouftini despite interest from RS Berkane
Al Wasl Football Club has renewed the contract of Moroccan international defender Sofiane Bouftini for an additional season, after reaching a final agreement that ensures the player’s continuation with the team, accompanied by a signing bonus of approximately 7 million dirhams.
Bouftini had entered advanced negotiations with RS Berkane recently; however, the financial offer from Al Wasl, combined with the club’s desire to maintain squad stability, ultimately swayed the decision in favor of the renewal.
The Moroccan player has continued to showcase impressive performances in the UAE league, drawing attention from several clubs in the Gulf region and Morocco, before deciding to extend his experience in the UAE league for another season.
