A passenger plane made an emergency landing at Memmingen Airport in Bavaria, Germany, after several individuals were injured due to severe turbulence.
According to police reports, before the emergency landing, nine out of 185 people on board—including eight passengers and one crew member—were injured during the turbulence associated with weather conditions. Three of the injured were taken to the hospital for treatment: a two-year-old child sustained bruises, a woman suffered a laceration to the head, and another passenger complained of back pain.
The police stated that the Ryanair aircraft was carrying 179 passengers and six crew members and was en route from Berlin to Milan. Since the aviation authority in southern Bavaria did not approve the continuation of the flight, the airline is now organizing buses to transport passengers to their destination.
The airline was unavailable for comment.
