Wydad Athletic Club is set to enter formal negotiations to retain the three loaned players: Mehdi Mbarki, Tembinkosi Lorch, and Cassius Mailula, following the team’s participation in the FIFA Club World Cup, scheduled from June 15 to July 13 in the United States.

The club’s management intends to negotiate with the players’ parent clubs, which include Al Ain of the UAE, Mamelodi Sundowns from South Africa, and Toronto FC from Canada, to explore the possibility of extending loan periods or discussing permanent contracts.

The current loan agreements are set to expire immediately after Wydad’s involvement in the Club World Cup. However, the remarkable performances of the concerned players during the current football season have prompted the technical staff to recommend their retention for the next season.

Wydad’s management is counting on stabilizing the team’s roster to enhance collective performance, particularly in light of the upcoming local and continental challenges following the conclusion of the next international event.
