Donald Trump: Canadian Prime Minister to Visit the White House
On Wednesday, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that newly elected Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney will visit the White House “next week or sooner,” amid a cooling of relations between the two historic allies due to Trump’s threats to annex the northern neighbor.
Trump stated during a cabinet meeting, “I spoke to him yesterday. He was very friendly, and I congratulated him.”
