Rachid Talbi Alami, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, held discussions today, Thursday, at the council’s headquarters in Rabat, with Badr Abdel Aty, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Egyptians Abroad, who is on an official visit to the Kingdom of Morocco on May 28 and 29.
This meeting provided an opportunity to reaffirm the strength of the historical and cultural ties that bind the Kingdom of Morocco and the Arab Republic of Egypt, as well as the importance of continuing bilateral coordination on various issues of mutual interest, nationally, regionally, and internationally, based on mutual respect, non-interference in internal affairs, and safeguarding the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of countries.
In this context, both sides emphasized the significance of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening cooperation between the legislative institutions, contributing to the exchange of experiences, enhancing communication channels among parliamentarians, and intensifying coordination within regional and international parliamentary forums, in line with the aspirations of both countries to promote trust and cooperative relations.
The discussions were attended by Sherif El-Gabaly, the Head of the Committee on Relations with Africa in the Egyptian House of Representatives, and Ahmed Nihad Abdel Latif, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Kingdom, along with several officials from both sides.
