The pavilion of the Mediator of the Kingdom attracted more than 3,000 visitors from various age groups and regions of the Kingdom, along with foreign visitors and Moroccans from abroad, during its participation in the 30th International Exhibition of Publishing and Book (April 17-27, 2025).
A statement from the institution noted that its joint participation with seven institutions and bodies focused on the protection of rights and freedoms, good governance, human and sustainable development, and participatory democracy was marked by significant attendance and fruitful interaction with the exhibition audience. This engagement highlighted its role in facilitating effective communication between citizens and the administration and promoting a culture of mediation and institutional dialogue.
According to the same source, the pavilion of the Mediator of the Kingdom “served as a communicative and intellectual space that welcomed many visitors and interested parties, featuring comprehensive explanations about the institution’s tasks and methods of operation aimed at providing justice for those harmed by actions of the administration that violate the law or exceed authority, as well as enhancing the trust relationship between the citizen and the administration.”
The pavilion distributed informative and awareness-raising publications intended to introduce the role of the Mediator of the Kingdom and the importance of resorting to mediation mechanisms for amicable dispute resolution, available in multiple languages.
The same source mentioned that the cultural program organized by the institution under the slogan “University and Civil Society: Supporting Frameworks for the Culture of Mediation” created a positive resonance and widespread interest. Notably, the events hosted a selection of university professors, researchers, and civil society actors who enriched the discussions with valuable contributions on the importance of collaboration between universities and civil society in reinforcing values of mediation and constructive dialogue.
The program included three main interactive tracks titled “Mediator of the Kingdom: A Horizon for Knowledge,” in partnership with the Department of Public Law and Political Science at the Faculty of Law – Agdal; “Mediator of the Kingdom Through the Eyes of Civil Society,” in partnership with the Forum of Citizenship; and “Mediator and University,” in collaboration with the Research Team on Political and Constitutional Performance and the Research Team on Administrative and Financial Performance at the Faculty of Law – Souissi.
All these tracks featured valuable daily contributions, followed by extensive comments from officials and staff of the Mediator of the Kingdom, providing an important opportunity for the exchange of experiences and enhancing the discussion on the practical application of the institution.
The Mediator of the Kingdom reaffirmed its commitment to continuing its efforts in promoting a culture of mediation and dialogue, and valuing partnerships with various stakeholders, believing in the importance of these collaborations in building a just, trusting, and cooperative society.
