The Moroccan Capital Market Authority Releases the Fourth Edition of the “Capital Market in Numbers” Report
The Moroccan Capital Market Authority has released the fourth edition of its statistical report, “Capital Market in Numbers,” which provides comprehensive indicators on the performance of the Moroccan capital market during 2024.
In an official statement, the Authority clarified that this report serves as a preliminary reference document for the annual report, encompassing key statistics related to various sectors of the market, including data exclusively prepared by the Authority.
The Authority confirmed that the report is accessible for viewing and downloading through its website, emphasizing that this edition is part of its efforts to enhance transparency and provide accurate information to market participants and investors.
As the regulatory body responsible for overseeing the capital market, the Moroccan Capital Market Authority continues its mission to ensure the protection of savings invested in financial instruments, as well as to maintain the smooth operation and transparency of the market.
The Authority has been a member of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) since 1996 and signed a multilateral memorandum of understanding for cooperation and information exchange in 2007, making Morocco the 44th country globally and the third in Africa to enter into this agreement.
Since February 2020, the Moroccan Capital Market Authority has chaired the regional committee for Africa and the Middle East under the international organization, reinforcing its position on the international regulatory stage.
