The Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports has announced the organization of a specialized training course in the sports of hip-hop and breaking, targeting physical education teachers and inspectors nationwide.

The date and location of the training have yet to be determined. The course is organized by the Directorate for the Promotion of School Sports in partnership with the Royal Moroccan Federation of Sport for All, Breakdance, and Hip-Hop, in cooperation with the Royal Moroccan Federation of School Sports.

The ministry clarified that the aim of the course is to prepare regional trainers capable of promoting this sports genre within educational institutions, aligning with the ministry’s direction towards diversifying and modernizing the educational offerings in physical education.

International expert Thomas Rempers, specializing in hip-hop and breaking, will lead this training, reflecting the professional nature of the program.

The ministry has requested that regional academy directors propose two educators (teachers or inspectors) who are interested in the activity and involved in school sports, provided they are willing to disseminate the content of the training at the regional and local levels.

This initiative comes as part of efforts to enhance the competencies of educational staff and keep pace with global developments in urban sports, especially with the inclusion of breaking for the first time in the upcoming Olympic Games.
