Heat in the UAE Exceeds 50 Degrees Celsius for the First Time in May

On Friday, temperatures in the UAE reached 50.4 degrees Celsius, marking the highest temperature recorded in May since records began in 2003, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.

The centre announced on X that “the highest temperature recorded nationwide today was 50.4 degrees Celsius in Al Shawamekh (Abu Dhabi) at 14:30 local time.”
