In the Douar of “Mlahah,” belonging to the municipality of Ouled Makoudou in the province of Sefrou, a horrifying murder occurred on Tuesday morning, resulting in the death of a thirty-year-old farmer. He was ambushed by three individuals using knives, stones, and aggressive dogs.
According to local sources, the victim was tending to his olive trees in his field alongside his wife when he was surprised by a violent attack from three men from the area, with whom he had longstanding personal disputes.
The same sources reported that the victim’s wife was recording her husband’s work on her phone at the moment of the assault. The attackers appeared armed with sticks and knives, accompanied by aggressive dogs, before they violently struck the victim, inflicting severe head injuries that led to his immediate death.
The motives behind this crime, according to family members, stem from old rivalries and trivial disputes, including verbal altercations and mutual accusations over land boundaries. Suspicion has fallen on the father of the suspects, believed to have incited the attack.
The gendarmerie were alerted to the incident and arrived on the scene, where they apprehended the suspects and placed them in custody under the supervision of the public prosecutor. The victim’s body was subsequently transported for examination.
