Expectations of Increased Production Push Oil Prices Up
Oil prices rose slightly in early trading on Wednesday amid expectations of increased production by the OPEC+ alliance.
Brent crude futures climbed by seven cents, or 0.1%, reaching $64.16 per barrel.
U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude increased by nine cents, or about 0.2%, to $60.98 per barrel.
These gains are limited amid predictions that the OPEC+ alliance will decide to increase production during its scheduled meeting later today.
