Macron: Russia Does Not Want a Ceasefire
French President Emmanuel Macron stated on Friday that Russia "does not want" to reach a ceasefire in Ukraine, emphasizing the need for "more pressure" to compel it to do so.
Speaking at the opening of the European Political Community summit in Tirana, Macron remarked that "the last hours have shown that Russia does not want a ceasefire, and if the Europeans and Americans do not exert more pressure to achieve this result, it will not happen automatically," alluding to the potential for new sanctions.
