Google Integrates Smart Assistant “Gemini” into Chrome Browser
Update
Google has announced the integration of its AI-powered smart assistant “Gemini” into the Chrome browser, a move aimed at enhancing user experience by providing simplified and interactive information while browsing.
The beta version of “Gemini” is set to be released this week for both Windows and Mac systems.
The company stated in an official post that the first phase of activating “Gemini” will allow users to simplify complex information found on web pages, along with the ability to summarize content. Future plans include developing the assistant to operate across multiple tabs in the browser and enabling it to browse websites on behalf of the user.
Sharmeen De Silva, Product Management Director for the Chrome team, stated, “Gemini will appear in the upper right corner of the browser as an icon resembling a (flash), through which a movable and resizable dialog window can be opened.”
“Gemini” will initially support interaction across only two tabs, with Google planning to expand its capabilities later this year to function across multiple tabs simultaneously.
