OCP Maintenance Solutions (OCP-MS), a subsidiary of the Office Chérifien des Phosphates group, has taken a new step in developing its industrial maintenance ecosystem by launching, in partnership with the Strategic Business Unit for Manufacturing, a dedicated expertise center for turbomachines. This initiative is part of a comprehensive vision aimed at enhancing technical sovereignty over the group’s vital equipment and developing a more independent, efficient, and sustainable maintenance model.
This ambitious project culminates from the integration of OCP-MS’s technical expertise and the management and production needs within the SBU Manufacturing unit. This collaboration aims to establish a structured maintenance model that increases equipment readiness and meets the rising performance demands across the group’s various units.
Regarding this project, Fatima Zahra Lqassbi, Head of the Machine Care Department at OCP-MS, stated that contributing to the establishment of this center "was not just a technical experience; it embodies a structural initiative carrying a collective dynamic in which passion, discipline, and innovation merge. This project represents a collective will to enhance competencies and transform maintenance into a strategic lever for sustainable performance within the OCP group."
An Integrated Model
The expertise center is based on a comprehensive Machine Care approach, integrating technical quality, adherence to deadlines and costs of interventions, and optimal utilization of digital tools. This positions it as a benchmark model in managing turbomachines, which are among the most complex and sensitive industrial equipment.
The center is committed to adopting the highest standards of safety and reliability by adhering to Safety Integrity Level (SIL) standards and conducting periodic audits using advanced technologies, such as vibration analysis, thermal imaging, and ultrasound, to ensure performance continuity and standardize practices across various production sites.
Independence and Sustainability
The launch of this center marks the first step in a broader plan to generalize the approach across all vital equipment of the group, aiming to achieve a self-sustaining maintenance model by 2028, making maintenance one of the core pillars of industrial performance and technical sovereignty.
