The Renaissance of Berkane team has set off for Zanzibar, preparing for the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup final against Tanzanian club Simba, scheduled for this Sunday at the “Amani” Stadium.
The team’s delegation departed for Zanzibar on Thursday morning via a private flight, aiming to avoid fatigue and ensure the players have optimal conditions for comfort.
Renaissance Berkane had previously defeated Simba in the first leg, winning 2-0 at the “Municipal Stadium of Berkane,” with both goals scored by Lamine Kamara and Osama Malioui in the first half.
This is the second consecutive year that the Moroccan team reaches the CAF Confederation Cup final, seeking their third title in the competition after winning in 2020 and 2022 against Pyramids and Orlando Pirates, respectively.
