World Cup 2030: French Minister of Foreign Trade to Visit Morocco on Thursday as Part of Preparations for the 2030 World Cup

World Cup 2030: French Minister of Foreign Trade Visits Morocco on Thursday in Preparation for the World Cup 2030

Laurent Saint-Martin, the French Minister of Foreign Trade and French Nationals Abroad, will make an official visit to Morocco tomorrow, Thursday, as part of the preparations for the 2030 World Cup and to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, initiated during the state visit in October 2024.

The French minister will participate in the Morocco 2030 World Cup Business Forum, where he will announce the launch of the French-Moroccan Committee to support Morocco’s organization of the World Cup 2030. He will be accompanied by a delegation of around ten French companies that have come to promote France’s expertise in infrastructure and organizing major international events.

This visit will also provide an opportunity to enhance bilateral economic exchanges, in cooperation with Mohamed El Kettani, co-chairman of the French-Moroccan Entrepreneurs Club, and to meet several Moroccan institutional leaders, including Fouzi Lekjaa, president of the Moroccan World Cup 2030 Committee and Minister of Budget, Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Trade, as well as Karim Zidane, the minister responsible for investment, integration, and public policy assessment.

Finally, Laurent Saint-Martin will meet with the French community residing in Morocco, planning to visit Descartes High School in Rabat and the residence of the Consul General in Casablanca, where he will also meet with consular officials.
