Tragedy in Hay Hassani: Death of Two Infants in “Illegal” Nursery

The Hay Hassani area was shaken on the morning of Sunday, April 20, by a tragic incident after the local hospital received two infants who took their last breaths under suspicious circumstances while in the care of a woman in her fifties who was looking after children in her home for a fee.

The first infant was eight months old, and the second was not yet two years. According to initial reports, the children were rushed to the hospital in critical condition; however, medical interventions could not save them, and they passed away one after the other, leaving health staff and families in shock.

Investigations launched by the judicial police in Hay Hassani, under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office, revealed that the woman running the nursery was operating what resembled an “illegal home nursery” without a license and under conditions that did not meet the minimum health safety standards.

Immediately, the remaining children in the same household were taken to the hospital for necessary examinations, especially since some were showing concerning health symptoms.

While awaiting the results of the autopsy, which will reveal the exact cause of death, the security authorities are conducting a thorough investigation to uncover the details of this shocking incident and determine the responsibilities of everyone involved.
