Morocco and Oman Sign Multiple Agreements and Memoranda of Understanding

On Sunday in Muscat, during the seventh session of the Moroccan-Omani Joint Committee, Morocco and Oman signed several legal texts to strengthen the legal framework governing cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Sultanate of Oman.

The two countries signed a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Transport and Logistics in Morocco and the Ministry of Transport and Communications in Oman concerning the recognition of certificates issued under the provisions of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers of 1978 and its amendments. They also signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of renewable energy between the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development in Morocco and the Ministry of Energy and Minerals in Oman.

Additionally, a memorandum of understanding was signed regarding sports and school sports between the Ministry of National Education, Preschool Education and Sports in Morocco and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth in Oman. A memorandum of understanding was also signed in the field of digitalization and exchange of expertise between the Ministry of Justice in Morocco and the Supreme Judicial Council in Oman, as well as a memorandum of understanding regarding the twinning of the city of Fez in Morocco with the Wilayat of Nizwa in Oman.

At the conclusion of this session, both countries expressed their satisfaction with the level of existing relations and the positive developments observed. This reflects the political will and wise directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, may God protect him, along with their commitment to elevate these relations to higher levels and broader horizons, giving them a strong dynamic that meets the aspirations of both leaderships and brotherly peoples.
