The General Secretariat of the Government announced on Wednesday in a statement that it will participate in the thirtieth edition of the International Book and Publishing Fair, scheduled to take place from April 17 to 27 in Rabat.

The Secretariat indicated that through its participation, themed “Towards Innovative Legal Governance and a Promising Digital Future,” it aims to create an open space for discussion and exchange of views on various issues related to legal governance, and the role of legislation in keeping pace with digital societal transformations and meeting the expectations of stakeholders and specialists.

The statement highlighted that it will also shed light on its pivotal role in completing the preparation of legal texts and framing legislative work, while emphasizing its efforts in disseminating and facilitating access to legal information.

The same source mentioned that, in addition to contributing to enriching the discussion on these issues through organizing seminars and thematic workshops involving a group of university professors, experts, and specialists, along with officials from the General Secretariat of the Government, the institution’s pavilion will serve as a platform to showcase the latest publications in the legal field and provide a space for open communication with visitors from various social segments.

The statement also noted that the Directorate of the Official Printing House has worked to provide applications and software to access all the Directorate’s publications, equipped with a search engine supported by auditory recognition features to assist the visually impaired. It added that Braille translations of several legal texts and simultaneous translation into sign language for various activities have been secured for the benefit of people with disabilities, in a bid to enhance access to legal information.
