In an official response to a statement issued by a local branch of an association in Khouribga, which called for an urgent investigation into the health condition of a prisoner, the administration of the relevant correctional facility categorically denied these allegations, deeming them “baseless claims.”

The prison administration affirmed in a clarifying statement directed to public opinion that the prisoner in question, named (A.F.), “is in normal health,” and that his medical condition does not warrant a transfer to an external hospital, noting that he has undergone three medical examinations within the facility over the last two weeks.

The statement added that the director of the institution had met with the president of the association that released the statement, and directly informed him about the prisoner’s normal health status. However, according to the statement, the latter “insisted on promoting falsehoods and issuing a statement filled with inaccuracies, in line with his association’s approach of attacking state institutions to serve specific and questionable agendas,” according to the prison administration.

In response to what the statement described as “the prisoner facing harassment and retaliatory practices,” the administration emphasized that these claims are merely “a transparent attempt by the prisoner to obtain illegal privileges,” while also confirming its commitment to applying the law strictly and fairly to all inmates without exception.

The statement concluded by asserting that the correctional facility “remains dedicated to ensuring the dignity of inmates and providing them with health care as prescribed by the law,” calling for accuracy and objectivity before issuing statements or remarks that could mislead public opinion.
