“Tamwilkom” Signs Partnership Agreement with “Flat6Labs” to Accelerate the Growth of Innovative Startups

Yesterday, Monday in Marrakech, “Tamwilkom” signed a partnership agreement with “Flat6Labs,” one of the leading companies in the Middle East and North Africa in the field of accelerating the growth of startups, according to a joint statement.

The joint statement indicated that this step is part of the collaboration established with the International Finance Corporation in December 2023, aimed at creating a tailored offering to accelerate the growth of Moroccan startups.

According to this partnership, the statement added, “Flat6Labs” and “Tamwilkom” are launching a program to accelerate the growth of Moroccan startups, with special attention given to those operating in high-potential sectors such as AgriTech, FinTech, Industry 4.0, CleanTech/GreenTech, health, Big Data, and artificial intelligence.

Hicham Znati Serghini, General Manager of “Tamwilkom,” stated that “Tamwilkom continues its commitment to supporting Moroccan startups and technology companies,” noting that “Flat6Labs'” expertise will contribute to structuring a pivotal phase in the entrepreneurial journey, which is the acceleration of innovative projects — a prerequisite for successful financing.

He mentioned that this program will allow startups to receive high-level support from “Flat6Labs” in addition to an appropriate financing offer, emphasizing that this funding will also help accelerate the capital-raising phase.

David Tinel, Regional Representative for the Maghreb at the International Finance Corporation, confirmed that the cooperation between the International organization and “Tamwilkom,” which falls under a long-term partnership with the World Bank Group, will enhance financing offerings for Moroccan innovative startups, particularly at the critical startup stage, thereby promoting technological innovation in Morocco.

He added, “This cooperation illustrates our commitment to supporting sustainable and inclusive growth led by the private sector to create more quality job opportunities.”

“Flat6Labs” will take on the task of developing and implementing a comprehensive support program that focuses on preparing startups for the financing stage.

Yahya Houri, Executive Director of Programs at “Flat6Labs,” stated that “the goals assigned to this program are at the heart of our identity, aimed at unlocking the potentials of startups with a strong impact, by providing them with the necessary tools for growth, organization, and attracting the financing needed for development on both national and international levels.”

They affirmed their joint commitment to supporting the emergence of a more organized, competitive, and innovation-oriented entrepreneurial ecosystem in Morocco, in line with the kingdom’s aspirations in the field of technological innovation.
