Morocco Enhances Its Tourist Presence at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai
The Moroccan National Tourism Office is participating from April 28 to May 1, 2025, in the 32nd edition of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai, one of the largest tourism events in the Middle East.
This year, the office is highlighting the Casablanca-Settat region and participating alongside a delegation of 26 exhibitors representing various regions of the kingdom, in a move aimed at showcasing the diversity of Moroccan tourism offerings. The Moroccan delegation is led by the office’s Director General, Ashraf Fayda, alongside Hamid Ben Taheer, President of the National Confederation of Tourism, with the goal of reinforcing Morocco’s position as a preferred global destination.
The exhibition serves as an excellent opportunity to promote all the tourist attractions the kingdom has to offer, ranging from cultural and environmental tourism to business and luxury travel, especially with over 2,800 exhibitors and 55,000 visitors representing more than 160 countries.
As part of its new strategy, the Moroccan National Tourism Office is focusing on strengthening its presence in the Saudi market, which became, in 2024, the largest source of tourists from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to Morocco, recording a growth of 13% compared to the previous year. In this context, the office has formed partnerships with leading Saudi travel agencies such as “Al-Masafir,” “Fursan,” and “Flyin.com,” alongside collaborating with global platforms like “Wego” and “Cleartrip” to penetrate deeper into Indian and Southeast Asian markets.
During the exhibition, a strategic partnership agreement was signed between the Moroccan National Tourism Office and the Emirati airline, aimed at strengthening air connectivity between Morocco and emerging Asian markets such as Japan, South Korea, India, and Australia, benefiting from Dubai’s position as a key hub in global air transport networks.
This strong presence of Morocco at the Dubai exhibition reflects the vision of the Moroccan National Tourism Office to diversify its tourist source markets and enhance the kingdom’s status as a prominent tourist destination in the international market, through smart partnerships and a strategic focus on high-growth potential markets.
