Morocco is the guest of honor at the 11th edition of the Chinese-Arab Entrepreneur Forum.

Today, Monday, in Haikou, the capital of Hainan Province in southern China, the 11th edition of the Chinese-Arab Entrepreneur Forum has commenced, featuring Morocco as the guest of honor.

The Moroccan delegation is headed by His Majesty the King’s Ambassador to China, Abdelkader Ansari, and includes representatives from the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises, the Moroccan National Tourism Office, Bank of Africa, and Attijariwafa Bank.

On this occasion, a distinctive Moroccan pavilion has been set up at the International Conference and Exhibition Center in Haikou, where the event is taking place under the theme “Establishing Five Frameworks for Cooperation to Accelerate the Construction of a Chinese-Arab Community with a Shared Future.” The Moroccan pavilion has witnessed significant interest from conference visitors, highlighting investment opportunities, tourist attractions, and elements of Moroccan heritage through written, audio, and visual media, reflecting Morocco’s strategic position as a prominent partner to China.

The conference sees participation from over a thousand individuals, including Chinese economic actors and Moroccan entrepreneurs residing in China, coinciding with the ninth investment symposium of the Chinese-Arab Cooperation Forum.

The program includes four thematic sessions focusing on energy transition, scientific and technological innovation, the integration of culture and tourism, alongside developing financial cooperation. Additionally, there will be a dedicated session to explore investment opportunities in the Hainan Free Trade Port.

The conference will conclude with the presentation of results, followed by field visits to various economic zones in Hainan Province, including the Wenchang Space Launch Site and the Binhai Economic Development Zone.

This event is jointly organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the authorities of Hainan Province, the Arab League Secretariat, and the General Union of Arab Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture.

It’s worth noting that the Chinese-Arab Entrepreneur Forum was established in 2005 and has established its role as a pivotal platform for enhancing economic and trade relations between China and Arab countries.

Additionally, it is important to mention that Hainan Province, a tropical island located in southern China, relies on tourism, agriculture, and marine resources for its economy. The Chinese authorities have granted it special economic zone status to stimulate foreign investment and accelerate its economic growth.
