The Ministry of Interior will start on Friday, April 25, 2025, a census of Moroccan youth aged between 19 and 25 years as part of the kingdom’s preparations to call up conscripts for military service for the year 2025. This process will continue until June 21 of the same year, following the high directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Supreme Commander and Chief of Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, aimed at ensuring broader participation of the youth in serving the nation.

The census of youth who will perform military service is a pivotal step in enhancing the kingdom’s defensive capabilities and is part of the country’s commitment to preparing its young people for significant national tasks. Necessary measures have been taken to ensure the inclusivity of this process and to guarantee that all eligible age groups meet the legal criteria. This census is not merely an administrative procedure; it is part of a larger program aimed at integrating youth into military service in various aspects.

In this context, the Ministry of Interior indicates that the process will primarily be electronic, providing all concerned youth the opportunity to register through the dedicated website www.tajnial.ma. This digital approach facilitates the process and ensures that information reaches as many young people as possible across the kingdom quickly and efficiently.

For its part, the Central Committee responsible for organizing the census held an important meeting on April 17, 2025, at the Ministry of Interior’s headquarters, chaired by the President of the Court of Cassation, to review all legislative and regulatory measures related to military service. This meeting served as a platform for preparing lists of individuals invited to participate in the census, considering the balance between regions and ensuring non-discrimination.

During the meeting, the committee emphasized the necessity of respecting the principle of equality among citizens and ensuring a fair distribution of conscripts from different regions of the kingdom. It also stressed the importance of providing all means of support and guidance to youth during this period, whether online or through direct communication with local authorities.

The Minister of Interior considers this initiative a real opportunity for Moroccan youth to participate in serving their country, which directly contributes to strengthening national identity and collective belonging. The minister stated in his announcement that all youth who receive the specific census notification are required to fill out the electronic form by the deadline, starting from April 25.

He also noted that youth who have not been summoned can fill out the form on the website during the specified period, allowing them to participate in the process without needing direct communication with local authorities.

The process does not only apply to youth within Morocco but also includes Moroccans residing abroad. The Ministry of Interior is keen to provide a mechanism for registering Moroccan nationals who are registered with consulates through the same website.

Young people who wish to obtain more information about military service can visit the designated websites, or contact local authorities or the newly established guidance service in various regions, and they can benefit from direct support provided by local authorities if they have any inquiries.

Through this process, the kingdom aims to enhance the capacity of its national army and strengthen generational ties within the framework of national service. This is an important step in the context of developing national defenses and, at the same time, opens up avenues for Moroccan youth to participate in a significant national endeavor through military service.
