Lassaad Chabi Ties His Continuation with Raja to Technical Conditions and Quality Signings
The relationship between Tunisian coach Lassaad Jarraya Chabi and the management of Raja Casablanca has reached a critical juncture, as he has linked his continuation at the helm of the technical staff to the fulfillment of several technical and sporting conditions in preparation for the upcoming summer transfer window.
According to informed sources, Chabi has requested the renewal of contracts for four of the key players in the first team, in addition to signing new, high-caliber players capable of enhancing competition within the squad and providing the needed boost in local and continental competitions.
The Tunisian coach expressed his dissatisfaction with the current situation within the team, particularly after the “derby” match. Through close associates of the club’s management, he reiterated his call for radical changes in the squad, believing that the current group does not align with Raja’s ambitions nor reflect its storied history.
Chabi, who took charge of the team during a challenging period to correct its trajectory, confirmed that he does not bear responsibility for recent failures, subtly hinting at the possibility of his departure if his technical demands are not met, especially as he has received offers from clubs outside of Morocco.
The former coach of FUS Rabat emphasized that his continued association with the Green Eagles depends on the clarity of the club’s sporting vision, asserting that competing for titles requires a robust system that ensures the conditions for success and aligns with the aspirations of the team’s fans.
