France Expands Visa Services with the Opening of TLS Center in Laayoune

French Ambassador to Morocco, Christophe Le Courtois, announced the inauguration of a new visa application center affiliated with TLS Contact in Laayoune. This center aims to facilitate access for Moroccan citizens in the southern regions to visa services for France, reinforcing bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

The announcement was made during the opening ceremony of the new center in Casablanca on Wednesday, attended by numerous officials and diplomats. The ambassador emphasized that this initiative reflects France’s ongoing commitment to supporting its relationships with Morocco, particularly in consular and service matters.

Le Courtois pointed out that the opening of the Laayoune center is part of a comprehensive vision to enhance France’s presence in the southern regions, responding to the growing dynamics in the partnership between the two nations, especially in economic and humanitarian fields.

The new center is intended to alleviate the burden on residents of the southern areas, who previously had to travel to other cities such as Agadir or Casablanca to submit their visa applications, thus saving them time and effort.

This step is part of a French policy to bring its services closer to citizens and strengthen its strategic relationships with Morocco, in a context that sees a resurgence of momentum in relations between Paris and Rabat.
