The winners of the fourth edition of the Young Poets Award were announced yesterday, Thursday, in Rabat, during the International Book and Publishing Fair organized by the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication.

In this edition, the award for poetry written in Amazigh was awarded to Omar Raji (first place), Naima Mouhtin (second place), while Jamal Arouch took third place.

For the category of poetry written in Arabic, the first prize went to Latifa Benachar, the second to Karim Ait Haj, and the third to Mohamed Moudden.

In the category of poetry written in foreign languages, the first prize was jointly awarded to Youssef Sharif Hamidi and Nour Bouhouch. The second prize was shared by Nada Serifi (English) and Yassmine Benhamar (French), and the third prize went to Malak Khalfaoui (French).

The Young Poets Award, aimed at creators of both genders aged between 18 and 30, seeks to discover new poetic voices and encourage young talents in the field of poetic writing, valuing their talents and motivating them to write and create in various languages.

The International Book and Publishing Fair hopes that this award will serve as an opportunity to discover new poets who will uphold the future and continuity of poetry.
