Alert Bulletin Warns of Thunder Showers and Strong Winds in Several Regions of the Kingdom
The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced predictions of turbulent weather, including intense thunder showers, occasionally accompanied by hail, and strong wind gusts carrying dust, expected on Wednesday and Thursday in various parts of the country.
The Directorate anticipates, in an orange-level alert, that thunder showers will accumulate between 25 and 50 mm on Thursday, affecting the provinces of Errachidia, Tinghir, Ouarzazate, Midelt, and Zagora, occurring between 10 AM and 11 PM. These showers may locally be accompanied by hail.
Additionally, the bulletin reported that strong winds with speeds ranging from 75 to 90 km/h, along with local dust uplift, will affect several areas today, including Figuig, Jerada, Boulemane, Errachidia, Midelt, and Tinghir, from 1 PM to 8 PM.
These strong winds are also expected to continue on Thursday, impacting additional areas such as Jerada, Taourirt, Figuig, Oujda-Angad, Kasserine, Boulemane, Azilal, and Al-Haouz, alongside Errachidia, Tinghir, Midelt, and Ouarzazate, starting from 6 AM until midnight.
