The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) has invited young application developers, software engineers, and IT enthusiasts to participate in the initiative “Building Software Applications that Enhance Healthcare,” aimed at supporting young talents in developing applications that improve healthcare systems.

The organization, headquartered in Rabat, announced in a statement that it launched this initiative in collaboration with the Innovation Center for E-Health at Mohammed V University in Rabat, the Barhamam Innovations organization in the United States, and Mohammed VI University of Health Sciences in Casablanca.

The same source explained that this initiative seeks to encourage the integration of digital technology in healthcare, enabling young developers and entrepreneurs to think of innovative solutions that address the fundamental needs of patients, and to enhance the capabilities of youth in the field of health technology in ICESCO member states, as well as contribute effectively to achieving the third goal of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (good health and well-being).

The organization stated that applications are open to youth under the age of 25, who should either be university students or recent graduates. It added that the projects must be original ideas that have not been implemented before and that early-stage startups are allowed to participate.

According to the statement, the maximum number of participants per team is three individuals, noting that the deadline for submitting applications is May 15, 2025.

The statement concluded that the final presentation and announcement of winners will take place during the International Forum on Digital Health, on November 27, 2025, in Casablanca.
