In its statement, the prison administration indicated that while overcrowding is an existing challenge, the figures circulated regarding the number of inmates per cell are exaggerated and not based on precise data. The officials emphasized their commitment to transparency, aiming to correct the misconceptions stemming from the report.
Water Supply and Sanitation
Addressing the allegations of insufficient access to drinking water, the management asserted that all sections of the facility are regularly supplied with water. Furthermore, they highlighted that the sanitary facilities meet health standards, with inmates enjoying access to regular showers and hot water in designated bathing areas.
Access to Amenities
The administration also dismissed rumors concerning the deprivation of amenities, such as television sets and landline phones. They confirmed that all housing units are equipped with televisions and that landline services are available throughout the facility, adhering to existing regulations.
