The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened its trading session today, Friday, on a slight upward trend, with its main index, the “MAZ” (Morocean Stock Index), rising by 0.14%, settling at 17,549.06 points.
The “MASI.20” index, which measures the performance of 20 listed companies, saw a minor increase of 0.02%, reaching 1,346.96 points. Meanwhile, the “MASI.ESG” index, which includes companies with top ratings in environmental, social, and governance areas, rose by 0.29% to hit 1,218.69 points.
In contrast, the “MASI Mid and Small Cap” index, catering to small and medium-sized enterprises, remained almost stable, showing a slight increase of 0.01%, settling at 1,794.38 points.
The “MAZ” index had closed yesterday’s session on a marginal decline of 0.16%.
