The economic capital of Morocco, Casablanca, witnessed the launch of the second cycle of the Morocco Accelerator program on Monday, April 6, 2026. This step reinforces the evolution of the startup ecosystem in the kingdom, aiming towards international markets.
The program, supervised by the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform in partnership with Technopark Morocco and the global Plug and Play platform, aims to establish a strong entrepreneurial environment capable of innovation and international competition.
This new cycle includes 19 Moroccan startups, including several projects stemming from the Moroccan diaspora abroad, operating in strategic technological fields such as fintech, artificial intelligence, digital health, smart agriculture, and advanced technologies. This diversity reflects the local ecosystem’s capability to mature and adapt to high-value growth opportunities.
It is evident that the notable focus on artificial intelligence within this cohort indicates Moroccan entrepreneurs’ awareness of the importance of aligning their projects with global technological developments, thereby enhancing their prospects for expansion into foreign markets and attracting international investments.
Overall, this initiative serves as proof of Morocco’s ambition to build a comprehensive entrepreneurial ecosystem, capable of innovation and contributing to strengthening the kingdom’s position as an influential player in the global technological landscape.
