The city of Marrakech hosted, on the sidelines of the “GITEX Africa” exhibition, the fourth edition of the annual meeting aimed at mobilizing Moroccan talents worldwide. This event was organized by the MeM initiative by CGEM, the thirteenth region affiliated with the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises, and targeted Moroccan entrepreneurs and professionals residing abroad. The meeting was held in partnership with the Ministry of Investment, Convergence, and Public Policy Evaluation, alongside the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development. This collaborative effort aims to highlight the crucial role of the Moroccan diaspora in supporting the economic and technological development of the Kingdom.
The event attracted a distinguished gathering of institutional and economic stakeholders who united around a common goal: to consolidate the efforts of Moroccan talents abroad and enhance their integration with the national framework. This aligns with the special attention that His Majesty King Mohammed VI dedicates to Moroccans worldwide. In this context, Chakib Aljalj, President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises, emphasized the importance the confederation places on initiatives to attract and mobilize Moroccan talents internationally, spotlighting the efforts made to enhance their contributions to the technological dynamics within the Kingdom.
Aljalj also highlighted the confederation’s ongoing commitment to building an effective, competitive, and open national technological ecosystem, allowing the Moroccan diaspora to serve as a key driver for innovation, knowledge transfer, and accelerated growth. Amid rapid global changes, particularly with the rise of artificial intelligence technologies, participants stressed the significance of uniting all Moroccan talents, both domestically and abroad, to solidify the Kingdom’s position as a major player in the future digital economy.
