GITEX Africa 2026 witnessed the announcement of the launch of the “DigiTPME” network aimed at digitizing very small, small, and medium enterprises. This initiative seeks to accelerate the digital transformation of the national economic fabric and enhance the competitiveness of these businesses, with the presence of government officials and players in the digital ecosystem.
Amlah Al-Falah Al-Sagrooshni, the Minister Delegate for Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, emphasized that digital transformation has become a strategic lever for enhancing competitiveness and creating value, particularly for very small, small, and medium enterprises, which represent over 95% of the national economy and are a key driver of job creation.
The government official highlighted that the “Digital Morocco 2030” strategy prioritizes this sector, indicating that the aim goes beyond equipping businesses with digital tools towards achieving a tangible and sustainable transformation, in light of the progress Morocco has made in developing digital infrastructure, enhancing capabilities in emerging technologies, and modernizing public services.
In this context, the launch of the “Réseau DigiTPME” was announced as a structured and unified framework to coordinate the efforts of various stakeholders, including ministerial sectors, public institutions, regional investment centers, and private sector organizations, promoting a collaborative approach based on collective intelligence and territorial embedding.
The network aims to improve the coordination of support mechanisms, evaluate best practices, and structure an integrated offering for the digitization of enterprises. Additionally, it will develop impact measurement mechanisms based on data, with the ambition to support over 1,200 businesses starting in 2026, gradually expanding the initiative nationwide.
Idris Lamjari, the Director of Business Environment Digitization at the ministry, explained that the network aims to unify and coordinate the efforts of stakeholders in the business digitization ecosystem by establishing a sustainable cooperation framework that enhances the efficiency of current support mechanisms and ensures their coherence.
He added that “DigiTPME” will serve as a platform for exchanging experiences and sharing best practices, supporting regional collaboration, allowing for closer assistance to enterprises and embedding digital transformation into local dynamics.
The launch of this network during GITEX Africa 2026 reflects Morocco’s ambition to establish itself as a reference player in digital transformation both nationally and across Africa, through a model based on South-South cooperation, experience sharing, and the development of digital solutions tailored to the continent’s realities.
