A A

Inwi is taking a strategic step forward in the development of advanced technologies in Morocco by forming a partnership with China Mobile International, one of the leading global players in the telecommunications sector. This initiative aims to introduce a private 5G network into the industrial landscape of the Kingdom.

As part of this collaboration, Inwi will design, deploy, and operate the first dedicated 5G network aimed at industrial use for one of the major clients of its partner in the region. The project concerns a massive industrial site spanning 52 hectares, classified among the largest industrial facilities on the African continent.

Located in the eastern region of Morocco, the factory aspires to become a continental model in the field of Industry 4.0 by leveraging the latest automation and digitization technologies to enhance its operational performance and increase productivity.

Inwi is participating in this project as a reliable local partner, drawing on its experience as a comprehensive telecommunications operator and its track record of executing major connectivity projects nationwide. The company will mobilize fully dedicated communication resources alongside high technical expertise to deploy a network that covers the entire industrial site and meets the highest industrial connectivity requirements.

This infrastructure is expected to provide advanced capabilities, including extremely low response times, high stability, and significant connection speeds, alongside flexible service quality tailored to critical industrial applications. This opens the door to advanced applications in the Internet of Things (IoT) and smart industrial operations.

This project embodies Inwi’s ambition to support the digital transformation of the industrial sector in Morocco by developing sovereign, high-performance infrastructures capable of supporting future industrial applications and paving the way for a new generation of smart industries in the Kingdom.

To successfully implement this strategic initiative, Inwi is also relying on its partnership with Huawei, which has developed a comprehensive offering of solutions and services related to 5G networks for Moroccan enterprises, encompassing vital sectors such as mining, renewable energy, agriculture, and logistics.

This project is the first practical application of private 5G networks in Morocco and one of the most notable ambitious initiatives in the field of Industry 4.0 across Africa, establishing new standards in communication, performance, and industrial automation.

Through this collaboration, Inwi reinforces its position as a key player in Morocco’s digital transformation, reaffirming its commitment to supporting the country’s major industrial ambitions and contributing to building a more competitive and innovative economy, confidently oriented towards the future.
