Four Moroccan referees have been selected to officiate at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, set to take place from June 11 to July 19 across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This includes three amendments to the VAR protocol, aimed at refining decision-making processes.
Additionally, portable referee cameras that proved effective during last year’s Club World Cup will again be deployed. An AI-driven stabilization program will enhance image quality in real-time, reducing the effects of motion blur and allowing fans to experience the game from the referee’s perspective.
