A Significant Leap in Al Barid Bank’s Performance in 2025: Profits Exceed 930 Million Dirhams with Strong Growth in Loans and Deposits
Al Barid Bank recorded remarkable financial performance in 2025, reflecting a rising commercial dynamism and an increasing ability to strengthen its position within the Moroccan banking sector. The bank’s net profit reached 930.5 million dirhams, achieving a robust annual growth of 61.7%, indicating a clear improvement in the efficiency of its activities and a balanced economic model.
This performance is primarily attributed to an increase in net banking income, which reached 3.2 billion dirhams, driven by a significant improvement in the net interest margin by 13.2%, alongside a notable growth in commission margins by 5.8%. These indicators reflect the bank’s success in diversifying its income sources and enhancing its financial services, particularly amid increasing competition in the market.
In terms of credit activity, the bank continued to expand its presence, with loans granted, particularly in the housing and consumption sectors, totaling 2.8 billion dirhams—a 47.8% increase compared to the previous year. This development reflects a clear trend towards supporting the purchasing power of households and responding to the rising demand for financing.
Conversely, the bank continued to enhance its ability to mobilize savings, as customer deposits increased by 5.5 billion dirhams, or 7.3%, notably supported by a 14% growth in local current accounts, in addition to the strong performance of savings accounts, which captured a market share of 20%. This trend reaffirms customers’ growing confidence in the bank’s services and its ability to attract stable financial resources.
Thus, the results of 2025 reflect an upward trajectory for Al Barid Bank, supported by a strategy that combines expanding the customer base, developing products, and improving profitability indicators, reinforcing its position as a key banking player committed to proximity to citizens and expanding financial inclusion.
