Officially: Wydad Parts Ways with Benhashim
Wydad Athletic Club has officially decided to part ways with coach Mohamed Amin Benhashim following a decline in the team’s results and their exit from the CAF Confederation Cup.
In a statement released this evening, Wydad announced: “Wydad ends its relationship with coach Mohamed Amin Benhashim by mutual consent.”
The club added: “Wydad Athletic Club informs its loyal fans and all members of the club that it has decided to part ways with Mr. Mohamed Amin Benhashim as the head coach of the first team by mutual agreement.”
Furthermore, the statement expressed gratitude: “Wydad Athletic Club extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to Mr. Mohamed Amin Benhashim for all his efforts during his time in charge of the team, wishing him every success in his future career.”
Wydad drew against Olympique Safi with a score of 1-1 in the first leg of the quarter-finals, and the result was repeated in Casablanca, ending in a 2-2 tie, leading to the team’s exit from the continental competition.
